The show this past weekend was a dressage show at Dunmovin Farm in West Chester, Pa. Saturday morning we packed up Frank (show name Chesapeake Affaire) and his Rhode Island native owner, Rebecca Korab's stuff, loaded Frank up after a little protesting, and off we went!
Friday evening we had a rough schooling with Frank after he decided to be a complete nut in the indoor at home. Rebecca rode him through it though and we ended on a good note. After that schooling the night before we didn't have any idea what to expect for Saturday, especially since it was Frank's first show ever!
We arrived at the show ground with enough time to tack Frank up and then school him for about 20 minutes before Rebecca's first test at 10:04AM. Much to our surprise Frank stood quietly to get tacked up, then he schooled quietly too! The sun came out just before Rebecca's ride and her first Training Level Test 1 rode great! The pair came out of that with a score of 60.20 which earned them a 3rd place ribbon! They hung out around the ring for a few minutes then went right back in at 10:20AM for their Training Level Test 2. Frank was more correctly forward for that test which the judge liked and commented on and they earned at 61.08 getting them another 3rd place ribbon!
With a little protesting again Frank finally loaded back up on the trailer and we were homeward bound! We are so proud of Rebecca and Frank for their great ride this past weekend and we can't wait to see them at the next dressage show hopefully in December! Congratulations you two!
